DESCRIPTION
Xslimmer reduces the disk space taken up by Universal Binary applications 
preserving just the Intel or PowerPC version.

Xslimmer is a new, user-friendly way to size down your Universal Binary apps, 
without losing any of their functionality by removing the code inside the 
Universal Binaries that does not fit with your machine's architecture, a code 
that never gets executed and just wastes your disk space.

WHAT'S NEW
Recent new features

    * Redesigned User Interface. Xslimmer now uses a simplified and slicker 
version of the User Interface. It simplifies usage of the application, while 
providing flexibility to include new features. Some of the new elements or 
changes in the UI are:
          o Removal of the welcome drop-only window, and consolidation of the 
"drop" and "application list" windows in a single one. The process to add and 
slim applications is streamlined, and usage of Xslimmer should be immediately 
apparent.
          o Incorporation of + and - buttons to add or remove applications from 
the list. Dragging and dropping them to the main window continues to be 
possible, too.
          o Colored progress bars give a visual indication of the reason why 
some applications cannot be slimmed down. Protected apps (belonging to paths 
excluded by the user in Xslimmer's Preferences) are shown in red, blacklisted 
ones in black, and already slimmed ones in gray.
          o Other visual improvements: display of application paths in the main 
window, new "gear" button to access advanced options, ...
    * Application Finder Genie. Let the Genie find all the applications in your 
disks, instead of dropping them manually! This feature is available from the 
new "Gear" menu button in the main window.
    * Toolbar customization immediately synced. Your customizations of the 
toolbar options will be immediately saved now.

Bugs fixed

    * Japanese calendar format bug solved.If the preferences were set to use 
the Japanese calendar format, Xslimmer would crash. This bears no relation to 
the OS X language used, it just affected users with a non standard calendar 
format. Problems also occurred when using Islamic calendars, although they did 
not cause the application to crash.

Version 1.1.7: A simplified, slicker UI has been introduced. It includes lots 
of improvements, simplifies usage, and is flexible enough to make it easy to 
accommodate new features as they are released. An "Application finder Genie" 
has also been created: it will look for applications to be slimmed anywhere in 
your hard drive or even in external disks you may have plugged in. In addition, 
a crash that occurred when the calendar format was set to Japanese has been 
solved. This bug did not affect users with a different calendar format, even if 
their language preferences was set to more...Japanese.
